Seminole Hard Rock Tampa expands

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa completed a $75 million renovation this year that brought new gaming, dining and entertainment options.

The expansion grew the gaming space of the casino to the equivalent of five football fields; it has more than 5,000 slot machines, 110 table games and 50 poker tables, making it the world’s sixth-largest casino by seats available at a table or slot, larger than any other single casino in Las Vegas.

Among the innovations that accompanied the expansion is a dedicated smoke-free slot room that features 70 machines and new floor-to-ceiling windows that allow natural light into the gaming space.

The expansion brought a new restaurant called Rise Kitchen and Bakery, where 10 hearth ovens are used to bake fresh artisan bread and pastries. The restaurant also highlights favorite local and regional food products, such as Yoo-Hoo, Dr. Brown’s Black Cherry soda and whoopee pies.

Among the other expanded facilities are a new bar and cabanas at the resort pool and a five-story parking garage that is attached to the casino by a pedestrian bridge.
