Kentucky Bourbon Trail ideas
On tours, you see mash cooking in large cypress tubs and labels being made with the same hand-lever machine used since the 1950s. Visitors can dip their own bottles into the brand’s famous red wax.
Tours from the visitor center, which has storefronts that represent Irish pubs, also include the company’s brewery, one of only two locations in the United States with both distillery and brewery at the same site. The distilling room features two copper stills from Scotland.
A new visitor center scheduled to open this year will add to the tour experience, which includes the 40-foot-high continuous still.
Located in the midst of thoroughbred horse farms, the distillery offers several tours that showcase its distinctive copper stills. A restaurant is also onsite.
