New company to offer tropical expedition cruises

In February, a new company hits the high seas to help cruisers discover tropical destinations in Central and South America, including Costa Rica, Panama, Columbia and Ecuador. Sea Voyager Expeditions will operate the 60-passenger Sea Voyager ship with trip prices ranging from $2,930 to $5,365.

“We have chosen to specialize in this region and share its spectacular diversity, as exploration from the sea floor to the rain forest canopy is possible,” said CEO Denise Landau.

One 13-day cruise from Panama City to Esmeraldas, Ecuador stops by Columbia’s Malaga Bay, Panama’s Darien Jungle and Ecuador’s Cayapas Mataje Ecological Reserve.

Bookings with the company include pre- or post- cruise hotel stays, shore tours and transfers if air is purchased through the company. Sea Voyager Expeditions is based in Bellevue, Wash.
